Building Logic Gates: AND, OR, NOT, NAND, NOR and XOR

More Red provides a full set of logic gates as placeable blocks: AND Gate, OR Gate, NOT Gate, NAND Gate, NOR Gate, and XOR Gate. Each takes redstone inputs and produces a redstone output based on its rule.

Crafting and Placing

Craft each gate with its shaped recipe. Place the gate, then use Pliers to rotate it so the input faces match your wiring.

Wiring the Gates

1. Connect your input signals to the gate's input faces using Cable.

2. Take the output from the output face to the next block in your circuit.

3. Feed the output into a Diode, Latch, or another gate if you need to chain logic.

Use AND Gate when the output should only turn on when every input is on. Use OR Gate when any single input should turn the output on. Use NOT Gate to invert a signal. Use NAND Gate and NOR Gate for inverted versions of AND and OR. Use XOR Gate when the output should turn on only when the inputs differ.

For bit-level work, use the Bitwise variants: Bitwise AND Gate, Bitwise OR Gate, Bitwise NOT Gate, Bitwise XOR Gate, Bitwise XNOR Gate, Bitwise Diode, and Bitwise Multiplexer. These operate on multi-bit values rather than single on/off signals. Route multi-bit lines with Bundled Cable and split them with Cable Junction. Use the Hexidecrubrometer to read multi-bit values directly.
