Building a Coarse Dirt Path Walkway

Gather Materials

Coarse Dirt Path is the workhorse path for overworld builds. You need Coarse Dirt blocks and the binding item used in the mod's path recipes. Collect Coarse Dirt by mining it directly, or by combining Dirt and Gravel in a crafting grid if you already have gravel on hand.

Lay the Walkway

1. Craft Coarse Dirt Path blocks at a crafting table using Coarse Dirt plus the binding item.

2. Mark your route with torches or a spare block so the line stays straight.

3. Place Coarse Dirt Path blocks along the route, one after another, keeping them level with the surrounding ground.

4. Fill corners by placing a block, then breaking the block behind it and replacing that spot with another Coarse Dirt Path.

For a two-wide road, run one line, then place a second line directly beside it. Coarse Dirt Path sits flush with grass and dirt, so the transition from lawn to road is seamless.

Connecting to Other Paths

Coarse Dirt Path pairs cleanly with Gravel Path and Sand Path. Use Gravel Path where the road meets a cave entrance or rocky area, and Sand Path where it crosses a beach. Because all three are full blocks, you can swap them mid-line without leaving a step or gap. Break any misplaced path with your hand or a shovel and reuse the block.
