Crafting the Redstone and Lapis Minecarts

Redstone Minecart

The Redstone Minecart uses a crafting_shaped recipe built around a vanilla Minecart and Redstone Dust. Redstone Dust is cheap and renewable, so this is one of the easiest carts in the mod to produce in bulk.

1. Mine or gather Redstone Dust.

2. Open a crafting table.

3. Combine a vanilla Minecart with Redstone Dust in the shaped pattern.

4. Collect the Redstone Minecart from the output.

Because the recipe is shaped, the position of the Redstone Dust around the Minecart in the grid determines whether the craft succeeds. Rearrange the ingredients if nothing appears in the output slot.

Lapis Minecart

The Lapis Minecart follows the same logic but substitutes Lapis Lazuli for the Redstone Dust. Lapis comes from Lapis Lazuli Ore, so bring a Fortune pick if you want enough for several carts.

1. Gather Lapis Lazuli.

2. Place a vanilla Minecart and the Lapis Lazuli into the crafting grid in the shaped layout.

3. Take the Lapis Minecart from the output slot.

Practical Notes

Both carts are placed on rails exactly like a vanilla Minecart. Craft several at once so you always have spares on hand for new rail lines, and keep your shaped-grid layout consistent so you can repeat the recipe quickly.
