Crafting the Copper, Gold, Diamond, and Emerald Minecarts

Metal and Gem Carts

Four carts in this mod are built from a vanilla Minecart plus a metal or gem material. All four use crafting_shaped recipes, so the arrangement of ingredients in the grid is what decides the result.

  • Copper Minecart — Minecart plus Copper Ingots. Copper is common near the surface, making this the cheapest metal cart to mass-produce.
  • Gold Minecart — Minecart plus Gold Ingots. Gold is easy to obtain from the Nether, so this cart is affordable once you have a gold farm or mine.
  • Diamond Minecart — Minecart plus Diamond. Diamonds are limited, so reserve this cart for rail lines you actually care about.
  • Emerald Minecart — Minecart plus Emerald. Emeralds come from trading with villagers or from mountain ore, so stock up before crafting.

Crafting Procedure

1. Collect the matching material and at least one vanilla Minecart.

2. Open a crafting table.

3. Place the Minecart and the material into the grid following the shaped recipe.

4. Pull the finished cart from the output slot.

If the output is empty, the shaped layout is wrong — shift the ingredients to different slots until the recipe matches. Place any finished cart on a rail and use it like a normal Minecart.
