How to Get Every Charcoal Type From Food

Mapping Foods to Their Charcoal

Nine foods each have a dedicated charcoal in this mod: Apple Charcoal, Beet Charcoal, Bread Charcoal, Carrot Charcoal, Chorus Fruit Charcoal, Egg Charcoal, Melon Charcoal, Potato Charcoal, and Sugarcane Charcoal. Each is produced by smelting the matching food item in a furnace. Vanilla Charcoal is separate and comes from smelting logs as usual, and it is the input for Charcoal Chunk.

Building a Full Collection

Work through the list one food at a time. Farm or gather Apple, Beet, Carrot, Potato, Melon, Sugarcane, Bread, Egg, and Chorus Fruit, then smelt each in a furnace to get its charcoal. Once you have the charcoal, you can compress nine of a single type into its matching block: Block of Apple Charcoal, Block of Beet Charcoal, Block of Bread Charcoal, Block of Carrot Charcoal, Block of Chorus Charcoal, Block of Egg Charcoal, Block of Melon Charcoal, Block of Potato Charcoal, or Block of Sugarcane Charcoal. Chorus Fruit Charcoal is the hardest to stock because Chorus Fruit only grows in the End, so handle that one last. For everything else, a simple farm plus a furnace line will let you produce each charcoal type and its block in sequence.
