How to Bake Berry Pies and Cakes

Gather Your Ingredients

Pies and cakes use berries from the six colored bushes: Black Berry Bush, Blue Berry Bush, Green Berry Bush, Orange Berry Bush, Purple Berry Bush, and Yellow Berry Bush. Each color has its own Pie and its own Cake, so Black Berry Pie and Black Berry Cake both come from Black Berry, and so on through Yellow.

Craft the Baked Goods

Pie recipes and cake recipes are handled by the mod's crafting recipes. Hold the matching berries and check your recipe book — the Pie and Cake entries appear once you have the required items. Sweet Berry also has its own Sweet Berry Pie, separate from the six colored pies.

Place Cakes as Blocks

Cakes are blocks, not just items. Black Berry Cake, Blue Berry Cake, Green Berry Cake, Orange Berry Cake, Purple Berry Cake, and Yellow Berry Cake can all be placed in the world. Place a cake and eat slices from it directly rather than carrying it around.

Keep the Pipeline Moving

Baking drains your berry stock fast. Harvest bushes, craft new bushes from spare berries to expand production, and reserve a portion of every harvest for pies and cakes. If you run a Juicer as well, split each harvest three ways: bushes, juice, and baked goods.
