Using the Button Press Block

What the Button Press Does

The Button Press is the one shaped recipe in the mod, and it is the centerpiece for producing buttons at scale. Rather than combining blocks with buttons one at a time in a crafting grid, the Button Press gives you a dedicated block for the job.

Setting Up a Button Workflow

Place the Button Press where you want your crafting station. Feed it the block you want to convert and the button input it needs, then collect the finished button from the output.

Because the mod supports 205 button variants, the Button Press is the practical way to mass-produce them. Stock it with a supply of plain buttons and a supply of the target block — for example, a stack of Cobblestone to make Cobblestone Buttons, or a stack of Stone Bricks variants to make Chiseled Stone Bricks Buttons and Cracked Stone Bricks Buttons.

Build your Button Press near your storage so you can pull blocks directly from chests. If you plan to decorate a large build, produce buttons in batches by block family rather than one color at a time.
