Making Buttons from Glass, Shulker Boxes, and Glazed Terracotta

Decorative and Functional Options

Three block families give you buttons with distinct looks: Stained Glass, Shulker Boxes, and Glazed Terracotta.

Stained Glass buttons come in every dye color — Black Stained Glass Button, Blue Stained Glass Button, Cyan Stained Glass Button, and so on through Light Gray. Shulker Box buttons follow the same color range, from Black Shulker Box Button to Light Gray Shulker Box Button. Glazed Terracotta buttons also cover the full color set.

How to Convert Them

All three use the shapeless recipe: combine the source block with a button. So a Black Stained Glass becomes a Black Stained Glass Button, a Blue Shulker Box becomes a Blue Shulker Box Button, and a Green Glazed Terracotta becomes a Green Glazed Terracotta Button.

Because Shulker Boxes are expensive, reserve those buttons for accent pieces rather than bulk wiring. Stained Glass and Glazed Terracotta buttons are cheaper and work well for decorative panels where you want the button to blend into a colored wall.

Keep one button in reserve for each conversion so you can chain multiple colors in one crafting session.
