Create Natural-Looking Stone and Sand Areas
Understanding Randomized Textures
Moose Blocks randomizes textures for stone, sand, and soul sand so large patches don't show obvious repeating patterns. Instead of the same tile repeating every few blocks, each block displays a slightly different variation of the texture.
Building Large Landscapes
1. Place blocks normally — randomization happens automatically as you build.
2. Build large areas — the effect is subtle on small structures but becomes obvious when you create landscapes with dozens or hundreds of blocks in one material.
3. Mix stone types — combine regular stone, deepslate, sandstone, and other variants to add visual depth alongside the texture randomization.
4. Use for terrain — this feature works best for mountains, beaches, deserts, and underground caverns where you need natural-looking surfaces.
Tips
- The randomization makes hand-built terrain look less artificial and more like natural generation.
- Pair with varied block heights and slopes for maximum realism.
- Works well in survival mode where you're terraforming large areas.
