Troubleshoot Plugin Loading and Database Connection

Check Plugin Installation

1. Verify MongoDB Loader Plugin's .jar file is in your plugins/ folder

2. Restart the server and check the startup log

3. Look for a message confirming MongoDB Loader Plugin loaded successfully

Verify Plugin Dependencies

1. Open your plugin's plugin.yml file

2. Confirm the dependency line reads exactly: depend: [MongoDBLoader] or softdepend: [MongoDBLoader]

3. Check for typos, extra spaces, or incorrect bracket formatting

4. Ensure the line is properly indented (YAML is sensitive to spacing)

Common Issues

If your plugin still fails to load:

  • Missing MongoDB Loader Plugin: The server won't load plugins that depend on missing plugins. Install it first.
  • Syntax errors in plugin.yml: YAML formatting mistakes prevent the file from parsing. Use a YAML validator.
  • Wrong plugin name: Double-check the exact name matches MongoDBLoader

After fixing issues, restart the server and check logs again.
