Use Pressure Plates to Trigger Pokémon-Specific Actions

Understanding Pressure Plate Types

The mod adds custom pressure plates that respond to either players or Pokémon exclusively. Player pressure plates activate only when you step on them, while Pokémon pressure plates trigger when your creatures walk across them. This separation lets you create different mechanical systems for each.

Setting Up a Pokémon Detector

Place a Pokémon pressure plate in an area where your Pokémon frequently walk—near a pasture entrance or feeding area. Connect it to a redstone circuit or door mechanism you want to trigger. When a Pokémon steps on the plate, it will activate your contraption.

Creating Player-Only Triggers

Use player pressure plates for gates, doors, or systems you want to control manually without your Pokémon accidentally activating them. This prevents unwanted triggering when your party roams nearby.

Combining Both Types

You can use both plate types in the same area to create complex automation—for example, a player plate opens a gate while a Pokémon plate logs when creatures pass through.
