Set Up Your First Pokémon Pasture with Invisible Boundaries
Planning Your Pasture Layout
Decide the area where you want to contain your Pokémon. Invisible boundaries work best when placed in a perimeter around open terrain—they won't interfere with your ability to walk through, so plan for natural-looking spaces like fields or gardens.
Placing Boundary Blocks
Craft the invisible boundary fence blocks using your crafting table. Place them around the edges of your desired pasture area, spacing them close enough that Pokémon cannot slip between gaps. The blocks have no collision box for players, so you can walk freely through the perimeter while your Pokémon remain contained.
Verifying Your Setup
Craft a boundary detector tool and hold it in your main hand. Walk around your pasture—the invisible barriers will become visible as red Pokéball icons, confirming their placement. If you spot gaps or misaligned blocks, break and replace them as needed.
Testing Containment
Release a Pokémon into your pasture and watch it move around. It should stop at the invisible boundaries and refuse to pass through. If it escapes, check for gaps in your fence line and fill them in.
