Copying Router Setups with Template Frames and Security Override Cards

Save a Working Router

Build one Modular Router exactly how you want it: modules in the module slots, upgrades in the upgrade slots, and any filter item (Bulk Item Filter, Inspection Filter, Mod Filter, Regex Filter, or Tag Filter) in its filter slot. Once it behaves correctly, use a Template Frame to capture that configuration so it can be applied elsewhere.

Apply the Template to More Routers

Place additional Modular Routers where you need the same behaviour. Use the Template Frame to transfer the stored setup onto each new router. This avoids rebuilding every module, upgrade, and filter by hand. Keep the Template Frame with the saved configuration so you can reuse it as many times as needed.

When Security Blocks You

If a router refuses an action because of its security settings, use a Security Override Card to bypass that restriction. The card is the item for overriding security, so keep one available when you are configuring routers you did not place yourself or when a protected router will not accept your changes.

Checklist Before Copying

• The source router has all intended modules installed.
• All intended upgrades are installed.
• The correct filter item is in the filter slot.
• A Template Frame holds the configuration.
• A Security Override Card is on hand if access is restricted.
