How to Build a Kitchen with Cabinets and Drawers

Choose a cabinet material

Kitchen Cabinets and Kitchen Drawers exist in matching material sets, so pick one and stay consistent. Available sets include Acacia, Birch, Andesite, Blackstone, Bricks, Chiseled Nether Bricks, Chiseled Polished Blackstone, Chiseled Red Sandstone, Chiseled Sandstone, Chiseled Stone Bricks, Clay, and Cobblestone. Each set has both a Kitchen Cabinet and a Kitchen Drawer block.

Lay out the kitchen

1. Place a row of Kitchen Cabinets along the wall at counter height to form the base run.

2. Alternate in Kitchen Drawers where you want pull-out storage sections.

3. Add a second stacked row of Kitchen Cabinets above for upper storage.

4. Fill gaps between the upper and lower runs with a matching material such as Beige Ceramic Tile, Brown Ceramic Tile, or Bathroom Ceramic Tile for a backsplash.

5. Cap the run with a matching Ramp block of the same material to soften exposed corners.

Finish the room

Set a sink area using a Bathtub against the wall, and place an Air Conditioner high on a free wall section. Add an Alarm Clock on a counter or shelf. For flooring, use a matching Ramp variant of your cabinet material so the kitchen reads as one set. Keep the cabinet and drawer material identical across the whole room; mixing sets breaks the look. If you run short on one block, swap a Kitchen Drawer for a Kitchen Cabinet of the same material rather than switching materials.
