Using Glass Doors and Trapdoors in Builds

Entrances and Passages

Glass Doors work anywhere a vanilla door works. Place an Oak Glass Door, Spruce Glass Door, or any other wood variant at an entrance to keep the doorway sealed while still seeing who or what is on the other side. Right-click to open and close. Because the door is two blocks tall, place it against a wall or frame as you would a normal door.

Hatches and Windows

Glass Trapdoors suit floor hatches, ceiling access, and openable windows. Place a Glass Trapdoor on the top or bottom half of a block and right-click to toggle it. Use a Birch Glass Trapdoor for a light-colored build, a Dark Oak Glass Trapdoor for a darker one, or a Warped Glass Trapdoor and Crimson Glass Trapdoor for Nether-themed builds. Iron Glass Trapdoors and Iron Glass Doors give a metal-framed look.

Matching Materials

Every wood type in the mod has both a Glass Door and a Glass Trapdoor: Acacia, Bamboo, Birch, Cherry, Crimson, Dark Oak, Jungle, Mangrove, Oak, Spruce, and Warped. Pick the variant that matches the surrounding planks so the frame blends in. Craft each from the vanilla door or trapdoor of the same wood plus four Glass in a shapeless recipe. Keep Glass stocked so you can produce matching pieces as a build grows.
