Converting Vanilla Doors and Trapdoors into Glass Versions

Doors

Take any vanilla Door and four Glass blocks and combine them in a shapeless crafting recipe. The result is the Glass Door of the same wood. This works for Acacia, Bamboo, Birch, Cherry, Crimson, Dark Oak, Jungle, Mangrove, Oak, Spruce, and Warped. An Iron Door plus four Glass yields an Iron Glass Door.

Trapdoors

The same logic applies to trapdoors. A vanilla Trapdoor plus four Glass blocks in a shapeless recipe produces the matching Glass Trapdoor. Every wood type listed above has a Glass Trapdoor, plus an Iron Glass Trapdoor from an Iron Trapdoor.

Planning Your Conversion

Each conversion costs four Glass and one vanilla door or trapdoor. If you are retrofitting an existing build, gather your vanilla doors and trapdoors first, then craft Glass in bulk. Because both recipes are shapeless, you can process them quickly without rearranging the grid.

Glass Doors and Glass Trapdoors keep the placement and opening behavior of their vanilla counterparts, so you can swap them into existing doorways and hatches without changing how you interact with them. The only difference is the transparent panel, which lets you see through closed doors and trapdoors.
