Enable Smooth Bouncing and Squishing for Slimes
What to Expect
Slimes normally jump with simple, blocky movements. This pack applies smooth bounce and squish animations that make them feel more alive and fluid. Large slimes compress when landing and expand when jumping; small slimes bounce with quick, springy motions.
Viewing the Animations
1. Locate a swamp biome at night or create a slime farm
2. Spawn or find slimes of various sizes (small, medium, large)
3. Watch them move—you should see compression when they land and extension as they jump
4. Kill a slime and observe the smaller slimes that spawn, each with their own bounce rhythm
Optimal Conditions
- Use Entity Model Features for the smoothest animation playback
- View slimes in good lighting so you can see the squish deformation clearly
- Slimes in water may animate differently than on land
- Larger slimes show more dramatic squishing effects
If Animations Don't Appear
Check that the resource pack is active and positioned correctly in your load order. Reload resources with F3 + T. If using Optifine, some squish effects may be limited—Entity Model Features provides fuller support for these deformation animations.
