How to Build and Launch a Modular Boat

Choosing a Hull Colour

Modular Boat comes in sixteen colour variants: Modular Boat (Black), Modular Boat (Blue), Modular Boat (Brown), Modular Boat (Cyan), Modular Boat (Gray), Modular Boat (Green), Modular Boat (Light Blue), Modular Boat (Light Gray), Modular Boat (Lime), Modular Boat (Magenta), Modular Boat (Orange), Modular Boat (Pink), Modular Boat (Purple), Modular Boat (Red), Modular Boat (White), and Modular Boat (Yellow). Craft the colour you want; the hull is the base every other module attaches to.

Adding Modules

A bare Modular Boat does nothing on its own. Attach functional pieces to turn it into a working vessel:

  • Boat Seat — a place to sit and steer.
  • Boat helm — controls direction.
  • Cargo Stopper — keeps cargo from sliding out.
  • Boat Chunk Loader — keeps the area around the boat loaded.
  • Boat Energy Battery, Boat Energy Charger, Boat Energy Discharger — power storage and transfer.
  • Boat Fluid Tank, Boat Fluid Loader, Boat Fluid Unloader — liquid storage and transfer.
  • OpenComputers Module — automation hookup.

Place the hull in water, then attach the modules you need for your task. A passenger boat needs a Boat Seat and a Boat helm; a hauler needs Cargo Stopper plus storage; a mobile power rig needs the energy blocks.

Launching

Board via the Boat Seat and use the Boat helm to move. Once modules are attached, the boat behaves as a single unit — energy, fluids, and cargo travel with it.
