Adjust the Checkerboard Pattern Size

Access Shader Settings

Open your shader options menu while in-game. This is typically found in Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options, though the exact path depends on your shader loader.

Modify Pattern Scale

Look for settings related to pattern size, scale, or frequency. The Missing Textures shader usually offers a slider or numerical value that controls how large or small the pink and black checkerboard squares appear across your world.

Preview Changes

Adjust the value and watch your world update in real-time. Smaller values create a finer, more detailed pattern, while larger values produce bigger, more obvious squares. This is useful if the default pattern is too busy or too sparse for your preference.

Save Your Settings

Once you're happy with the appearance, confirm and save your shader options. Your new pattern scale will persist until you change it again.

Tip: If the pattern is hard to look at, try increasing the scale to reduce visual strain.
