Moving Portals with the Spatial Capture Tool

What It Does

The Spatial Capture Tool lets you pick up a placed portal instead of breaking and recrafting it. Use it when a Caving Portal, Climbing Portal, Hunting Portal, Mining Portal, Nethering Portal, or Sky Portal is in the wrong location, or when you want to reposition a Teleport Pad arrival point.

How to Use It

1. Craft the Spatial Capture Tool from the mod's shaped recipes — it uses the same Spatial Core and refined materials as the portal chain.

2. Stand next to the portal block you want to move.

3. Interact with the Spatial Capture Tool to capture the portal.

4. Walk to the new location and place it down.

5. Re-link it to its matching teleporter — for example, a captured Mining Portal still needs its Mining Teleporter at the far end.

Why Capture Instead of Rebuild

Rebuilding a portal costs another Spatial Core, Diamond Nugget, and Netherite Fragment set. Capturing preserves the block, so you only spend the tool once and reuse it across all six dimensions.

Pairing Reminder

Capturing a portal does not move its teleporter. After placing the captured portal, confirm the matching teleporter is still at the destination, or capture and move that too. Keep each portal and teleporter together or travel will fail.
