Find and Change a Specific Mod Setting Without Opening the Menu

Using Chat Commands to Locate Settings

If you know the mod ID and setting name but want to avoid navigating the visual menu, use chat commands for direct access.

Step 1: Get information about the setting

Open chat and type:

`

/mineconf get <mod_id> <conf_id>

`

Replace <mod_id> with the mod's identifier (e.g., modname) and <conf_id> with the setting name. This shows you the current configuration details.

Step 2: View the current value

For more detail about what the setting currently holds, use:

`

/mineconf get <mod_id> <conf_id> value

`

This displays the exact current value without changing anything.

Step 3: Change the value

Once you know what you're adjusting, set a new value:

`

/mineconf set <mod_id> <conf_id> <value>

`

The change applies immediately in-game. This method is fastest when you already know which setting you need to modify.
