How to Get and Use Haki
Unlocking Haki
Haki is trained, not crafted. You build it up by fighting and surviving — defeating enemies, taking hits, and staying in combat raises your proficiency over time. There is no single item that hands you Haki; the progression is tied to your character's combat experience.
Keep a weapon on you while training. The 5t Hammer, Axe, Broadsword, Cutlass, Dagger, Blue Sword, Bisento, Durandal, and Enma are all valid combat tools. Named blades like Ama no Murakumo, Ame no Habakiri, and Ace's Knife work the same way for training purposes.
Using Haki in Combat
Once unlocked, Haki is toggled and applied through your ability interface. Armament-style Haki hardens your attacks and defense; Observation-style Haki improves your awareness and dodging. Bind these to keys you can reach mid-fight.
Haki drains while active, so toggle it on for engagements and off when travelling. Combine it with your Devil Fruit abilities rather than replacing them — a fruit power plus Haki hits harder than either alone. If you have not eaten a fruit yet, Haki still works and is worth training early so it is ready when you need it.
