Using Adventure Maps and the Map Device

Creating a Map

Craft an Adventure Map Creator, then use it to produce an Adventure Map. The map defines the content you will run. Map rarity can be pushed higher with Currency/Map Rarity Upgrade before you commit to running it.

Running the Map

Place the Adventure Map into the Map Device and activate it. The device consumes the map and opens the run. Higher-rarity maps are worth saving for when you are geared enough to clear them.

Map Tiers and Keys

Keys/0 through Keys/5 gate access to progressively harder content. Collect keys as you clear maps and use them to unlock the next tier. Do not burn high-tier keys on low-rarity maps — pair the key tier with a map rarity that matches the challenge.

Increasing Difficulty on Purpose

Increase Rarity Nearest Entity raises the rarity of the nearest entity, which is useful when you want a tougher fight with better drops. Use it deliberately, not casually, since it changes what you are fighting.

Loop

Create map, upgrade rarity if desired, load into Map Device, clear, collect keys and drops, repeat at the next key tier when ready.
