Upgrading Gear Quality, Potential, and Affixes

The Three Upgrade Currencies

Gear in this mod carries three upgradeable properties, each with its own currency item:

• Currency/Entangled Quality — raises the item's quality tier.
• Currency/Entangled Potential — raises the item's potential, which gates how much it can be upgraded.
• Currency/Entangled Affix Upgrade — upgrades the affixes already on the item.

Use each currency on the target piece through the item's upgrade interface. Apply quality and potential first, then affix upgrades, because affix upgrades are wasted on a piece you later replace.

Forcing Stats and Cleaning Souls

If you want a specific stat on a piece, use the Currency/Force Soul Tag Armor Stat, Currency/Force Soul Tag Dodge Stat, or Currency/Force Soul Tag Magic Shield Stat items. Each forces the corresponding stat tag onto the gear.

If a piece has soul data you don't want, run it through the Gear Soul Cleaner to strip that data before re-upgrading. Cleaning resets the soul side of the item so you can build it the way you want.

Plan your currency spend: quality and potential upgrades are the foundation, forced stat tags define the build, and affix upgrades polish it. Don't burn affix upgrades on a piece you haven't finished with quality and potential.
