Managing Gear Souls and Stat Tags in Mine and Slash

Cleaning a Piece

Before applying new souls, strip the old data. Use the Gear Soul Cleaner on the piece to remove existing soul stats. This gives you a blank slate so new souls apply cleanly.

Applying Souls

Use Gear Stat Soul to apply a stat soul to a piece of gear. The result depends on the soul you are holding. Common Gear Soul Stone is the basic soul currency used in this process.

Forcing Specific Tags

If you want a guaranteed result rather than a random one, use the Force Soul Tag currencies:

  • Currency/Force Soul Tag Armor Stat
  • Currency/Force Soul Tag Dodge Stat
  • Currency/Force Soul Tag Magic Shield Stat

Each one forces the corresponding tag onto the gear, so you can target the defensive stat you actually want.

Upgrading Affixes, Potential and Quality

Three Entangled currencies tune the rest of a piece:

  • Currency/Entangled Affix Upgrade for affixes
  • Currency/Entangled Potential for potential
  • Currency/Entangled Quality for quality

Apply them in whatever order your build needs, but quality and potential first usually gives the best base for affix upgrades.

Order of Operations

1. Clean with Gear Soul Cleaner.

2. Force tags with the Force Soul Tag currencies.

3. Apply Gear Stat Soul for the remaining stats.

4. Tune with Entangled Affix Upgrade, Potential and Quality.

5. Awaken with Awaken RuneWord when ready.
