How to Salvage Gear into Soul Stones and Clean Them

Breaking Down Unwanted Gear

Place a Salvaging Station and open it. Insert gear you no longer need. Salvaging returns materials plus soul-related drops, including Common Gear Soul Stone and Gear Stat Soul. Keep every Common Gear Soul Stone you get — they feed later crafting and reroll steps rather than being thrown away.

Cleaning and Reusing Souls

Gear Stat Soul items carry stats you may not want on a piece. Run them through the Gear Soul Cleaner to strip the unwanted stat before applying the soul elsewhere. This lets you recycle a bad roll instead of discarding the whole soul.

Feeding the Crafting Loop

Souls and salvaged materials feed the Gear Crafting Station and Enchanting Station. If a soul has a stat you want to keep, do not clean it — apply it directly. If it has a dead stat, clean it first so the slot is free for something useful.

What to Salvage First

Prioritize gear that is below your current tier or has no useful affixes. Gear Loot Bag and Gear Crate contents that roll poorly are prime salvage targets. Hold onto anything with a stat you are actively chasing, even if the base item is weak — the soul is the valuable part.
