Furnishing a House with Futon, Charpoy and Fusuma

Place Sleeping and Seating

Craft a Futon for sleeping and a Charpoy for seating. The Futon replaces a bed as your rest block; place it against a wall with a clear approach. The Charpoy is a low seat — set two or three around a Fire Pit to make a gathering spot.

Divide Rooms with Fusuma

Craft Fusuma and place them as sliding-style partitions. Use Fusuma to split a large room into a sleeping area and a living area without building a full wall. Line them up in a row to close off a corridor, or leave a gap as a doorway.

Lay Paths and Edging

Finish the floor and yard with path blocks:

• Dirt Path, Dirt Path Slab, Dirt Wall
• Gravel Path, Gravel Path Slab
• Gravel Slabs Path, Gravel Slabs Path Slab

Run Dirt Path from the door to the Fire Pit, then edge it with Dirt Path Slab. Use Gravel Path for a courtyard and Gravel Slabs Path Slab for a finer border. Dirt Wall works as a low garden divider. Place the Futon and Charpoy first, then build the Fusuma partitions around them, and lay the paths last so you can route them around the furniture.
