Cooking Meat and Seafood with the Fire Pit
Place and Light the Fire Pit
Craft a Fire Pit and set it down on solid ground. It is the block you use for campfire-style cooking in Millenaire. Once placed, it accepts raw ingredients the same way a campfire does.
What You Can Cook
Three campfire_cooking recipes and three smoking recipes are available. The cookable items are:
- Cooked Bear Meat
- Cooked Wolf Meat
- Cooked Seafood
The result is the cooked version, which restores more hunger than the raw item. If you have a smoker, the same three items can be processed there for a faster result; the smelting recipes also cover them if you prefer a furnace.
Stocking Your Kitchen
Bear and wolf meat come from hunting, and seafood from fishing. Cook in batches — load several pieces at once so you are not standing around. Keep the Fire Pit near your storage so you can pull cooked stacks straight into a chest. Cooked Bear Meat, Cooked Wolf Meat, and Cooked Seafood all stack, so a single session can fill a food barrel for a long trip. If you are feeding a village, place multiple Fire Pits in a row and rotate between them.
