Reduce Visual Strain During Long Play Sessions
Why This Shader Can Cause Strain
Mew Chippa FX's astigmatism and halo effects, while fun, create constant visual stimulation that can tire your eyes during extended play. The stretched light streaks and glowing rings demand more visual processing than vanilla Minecraft.
Minimizing Strain
1. Lower both the astigmatism streak intensity and halo brightness to their most subtle settings
2. Take regular breaks—step away from the screen every 30 minutes
3. Adjust your monitor brightness to match your room's lighting
4. Consider using the shader only during specific activities (like exploration) and disabling it for building or mining
5. Experiment with toggling the shader on and off to find your comfort threshold
Alternative Approach
If the effects remain uncomfortable even at low settings, you might prefer playing without the shader for long sessions. The mod is designed for fun and atmosphere, not mandatory use. You can always re-enable it when you want that goofy fantasy feel without the fatigue.
