Adjust Astigmatism Streak Intensity

Finding the Astigmatism Settings

The astigmatism effect creates those characteristic stretched light streaks. If the streaks feel too extreme or too subtle for your playstyle, you can fine-tune them.

How to Adjust

1. Open your shader options menu (usually accessible from Video Settings)

2. Look for shader-specific settings or a "Mew Chippa FX" options panel

3. Find the astigmatism or "light streak" slider

4. Lower values create shorter, more subtle streaks; higher values stretch them dramatically across your screen

5. Test your changes in different lighting conditions—try standing near torches, lamps, and bright blocks

6. Adjust until the effect feels right for your vision comfort and aesthetic preference

Tips

If you're sensitive to visual effects, start with lower streak intensity and gradually increase it. The effect is most noticeable at night or in dark caves, so test in those environments. Remember that the streaks follow your camera's direction, so they'll shift as you look around—this is intentional and part of the goofy charm.
