Create a Chat Format for a Specific Progression Track
Set Up Track-Based Chat Styling
Progression tracks in LuckPerms represent advancement paths (like "Member → VIP → Premium"). The plugin can apply unique chat formats to each track, separate from group formatting.
Steps:
1. In LuckPerms, create or confirm your progression track exists (for example, a "Donor" track with stages: Donor → VIP Donor → Elite Donor).
2. Assign players to nodes within this track.
3. Open the plugin configuration and find the track formatting section.
4. Define a chat template for your track. Include placeholders for the player's current track position, name, and message.
5. Use MiniMessage or color codes to style the output—for instance, gradient colors for higher track tiers.
6. Save and run /lpcf reload.
Resolution Order
The plugin applies formats in this order:
1. Group-specific format (if the player's group has one)
2. Track format (if the player is in a track)
3. Global default format (fallback)
If a player is in both a group and a track, the group format takes priority. Adjust your configuration to decide which should override the other.
