How to Make Dressing and Stop Bleeding

Dressing is the base healing item in the mod, and every upgrade builds on it. Start by gathering Cotton Seeds and Aloe Seeds, then farm them into Cotton String and Aloe Extract.

Crafting the Basic Dressing

Combine Cotton Fabric with your healing agent of choice. Cheap Dressing is the entry-level option, while Dressing is the standard tier. From there you can specialize: Aloe Dressing, Honey Dressing, Plantago Dressing, and Ethanol Dressing each use their matching fabric or extract. Advanced Dressing sits above the basic tier and is worth saving for serious injuries.

Applying and Upgrading

Right-click with a Dressing in hand to apply it to yourself or a target. If a wound keeps reopening, move up to a Medkit. Novice Medkit, Advanced Medkit, and Expert Medkit each cover progressively worse conditions. Keep a Sewing Kit nearby — it is used alongside fabric items when patching yourself up. For deep wounds that Dressings cannot close, craft a Splint to stabilize the limb before applying further treatment. Stockpile Cotton Fabric early; almost every dressing recipe consumes it, and running out mid-fight is the most common way players die to injuries they could have healed.
