Culturing Penicillium in the Incubator

Penicillium Powder is the key ingredient for infection treatment and for Expert Medkit. Producing it means running the Incubator correctly.

Preparing the Petri Dish

Start with a Petri Dish and combine it with Agar to get Petri Dish with Agar. This is the growth medium. Place the prepared dish into the Incubator block. The Incubator maintains the conditions the culture needs, so do not break it mid-cycle or you lose the batch.

Harvesting and Using the Powder

Once the culture matures, harvest Penicillium Powder. Combine it with charcoal to make Penicillium-Charcoal Mix, which is the form used in most treatment recipes. Store powder in a dry chest away from your fermentation area. If you are treating a wound, apply a Dressing first, then use the Penicillium-Charcoal Mix. For serious infections, the Expert Medkit is the final step and consumes Penicillium Powder directly. Keep at least two Petri Dish with Agar ready at all times so you can restart a batch immediately after harvesting — the culture cycle is the slowest part of the entire medicine chain.
