Troubleshoot Missing Cart Animations or Model

Check OptiFine Installation

The medieval cart model and wheel animations only display with OptiFine enabled. Launch your game and verify OptiFine is active in your mod list or video settings. Without it, you'll see the default donkey chest instead of the custom wagon.

Reload Resource Pack

If OptiFine is installed but the cart still doesn't appear, reload the resource pack. Go to Options > Resource Packs, find the Medieval Cart pack in the active list, and click the reload icon. Then return to your world.

Check Donkey Chest Status

Ensure the donkey actually has a chest attached. Right-click the donkey—if the inventory opens, a chest is equipped. If nothing happens, attach a chest again using the steps in the setup guide.

Verify Game Version Compatibility

Confirm your Minecraft version matches the resource pack's supported versions. Some packs only work on specific versions. If mismatched, the custom model may fail to load.
