Set Up a Donkey Cart for the First Time

Prepare Your Donkey

First, tame a wild donkey by repeatedly right-clicking it with a saddle until hearts appear. Once tamed, you'll see an empty saddle on its back.

Attach the Chest

Craft or find a chest in your inventory. Right-click the tamed donkey while holding the chest to attach it. The donkey's appearance will immediately change—the standard chest model will be replaced by the medieval cart from this resource pack.

Verify the Cart Appearance

Walk around your donkey and observe the wooden wagon model. You should see a detailed 3D cart with an open cargo hold replacing the usual chest texture. If you see the default chest instead, make sure OptiFine is installed and enabled—this pack requires it to display the custom 3D model.

Load and Travel

Right-click the cart to open its inventory and store items. As you lead the donkey by holding its lead or riding it, the cart wheels will animate and spin realistically. Your medieval cart is now ready for transport across your world.
