Setting Up a Working Portcullis Gate

Place portcullis grate blocks inside your gateway opening, aligned along any axis (horizontal or vertical). Connected grates form a single unit and move together as one structure, supporting up to 64 blocks.

To operate the gate, Shift + Right-Click any grate block to raise or lower the entire connected gate instantly. For automated control, attach redstone pistons to push and pull the gate mechanically. If you have Supplementaries installed, rope pulleys will automatically work with your portcullis for hands-free operation.

This system lets you create functional castle entrances that lock down under your control while maintaining structural integrity across the entire connected gate.
