How to Open and Use the Draugr Chest

Finding the Chest

The Draugr Chest is a placeable block, not a portable container you carry around. When you find one in the world, treat it as a loot target tied to Draugr areas. Break it to collect it, or open it in place if you want the contents immediately.

What You Need Before Looting

Do not walk up to a Draugr Chest empty-handed. Draugr spawn around these areas, so bring:

• A melee weapon such as Ancient Nord Sword, Ebony Sword, or Stalhrim Sword.
• A ranged option — Ancient Nord Bow, Ebony Bow, or Stalhrim Bow — plus Ebony Arrow.
• Draugr Awakening Soul Gem if you plan to interact with the awakening mechanic.

Clear the surrounding Draugr first, then approach the chest. Fighting while looting gets you killed.

Using the Contents

Loot from Draugr Chests feeds directly into the rest of the mod's progression. Expect Ebony Ingot for weapon crafting, Golden Claw as a key item, and Flame Atronach Heart as an ingredient. The Golden Claw is worth holding onto rather than discarding — it fits the Draugr dungeon theme and pairs with chest exploration. Bank Ebony Ingot immediately so you can craft the ebony weapon line without a second farming trip.
