Optimize Performance While Keeping Visual Quality
Identify Performance Settings
Open the Meadowlight Shaders configuration menu. Look for options related to shadow quality, render distance, or effect intensity. Meadowlight is designed to be lightweight, but you can fine-tune it further.
Reduce Shadow Detail
Shadow rendering is often the most performance-intensive feature. Lower the shadow resolution or quality setting to improve frame rates. You'll still see soft shadows under trees and structures—they'll just be slightly less detailed.
Disable or Lower Optional Effects
Check for toggles on features like bloom, ambient occlusion, or volumetric effects. Disabling these won't drastically change Meadowlight's calm aesthetic, but can provide meaningful FPS gains on lower-end systems.
Test Different Presets
Many shader packs include performance presets (like "Fast," "Balanced," "High Quality"). Start with a lower preset and gradually increase until you find the sweet spot between visual appeal and stable frame rates. Remember to test in various biomes and lighting conditions.
