Enhance Nighttime Visibility Without Losing Atmosphere
Understand Night Lighting Philosophy
Meadowlight Shaders uses cool color tones at night while keeping blocks visible. The goal is maintaining the calm, fantasy aesthetic while ensuring you can still navigate and build.
Adjust Night Brightness
Open shader settings and find the night brightness or moonlight intensity slider. Increase this value to brighten nighttime scenes. Meadowlight's cool tones will remain, but more detail will become visible without harsh lighting.
Balance Moon and Ambient Light
Look for separate controls for moonlight and ambient night lighting. Boosting ambient light slightly creates a softer nighttime glow, while increasing moonlight adds directional shadows and depth. Adjust both together to avoid an unnatural appearance.
Preserve the Mood
Avoid over-brightening—the point is to see better while keeping nights atmospheric. Make small adjustments and spend time in your world at night to confirm the balance feels right. The cool color palette should remain the defining feature of Meadowlight's night cycle.
