Adjust Lighting Intensity for Better Visibility in Caves

Access Shader Settings

Press the shader configuration key (usually Shift + O or check your controls) to open the Meadowlight Shaders menu. Look for lighting or brightness adjustment sliders.

Increase Cave Brightness

Locate the ambient light or cave lighting slider. Meadowlight Shaders maintains visibility in dark areas by default, but you can boost this further if you find underground exploration too dim. Increase the ambient light value gradually and test in a cave to find your preferred balance.

Fine-Tune Shadow Intensity

If caves feel too dark despite ambient adjustments, check shadow strength settings. Reducing shadow intensity will allow more light to penetrate shaded areas without washing out the overall aesthetic. This is especially useful if you spend extended time mining or exploring deep caverns.

Apply and Test

Save your changes and return to your world. Visit different cave depths and times of day to confirm visibility remains clear while maintaining the shader's calm atmosphere. Adjust incrementally—small changes often make a significant difference.
