Enhance Water Reflections and Clarity

Locate Water Reflection Settings

MCF Shaders' water rendering is one of its signature features. Open your shader configuration menu and find the water or reflection subsection. These controls govern how clearly water reflects the sky and surroundings.

Increase Reflection Quality

If available, boost the reflection detail or clarity slider. Higher values make water surfaces more mirror-like, creating stronger reflections of clouds and the purple-pink sky. This effect is most noticeable on large bodies of water like oceans and lakes.

Adjust Water Tint and Transparency

MCF Shaders applies gentle color tones to water. Look for water color or transparency sliders to customize how much the fantasy palette tints the water itself. Increasing transparency reveals the seafloor more clearly, while adjusting the tint lets you control whether water leans more purple or pink.

Test in Different Environments

Visit oceans, rivers, and rain to see how your adjustments look across water types. Different water depths and lighting conditions will showcase your settings differently. Shallow water near beaches often displays reflections most dramatically.
