Troubleshoot Missing or Delayed Alerts
Verify Plugin is Running
1. Check your server startup log for MCEEW Plugin loading messages
2. Run /eew to confirm the command responds
3. If no response, the plugin didn't load—check for installation errors
Test the Alert System
Execute /eew test to trigger a test warning. If this works:
- Your plugin is active
- Notifications display correctly
- The issue is likely with real earthquake data
Check Regional Coverage
Confirm your server location is in Japan, China, or Taiwan. The plugin only receives alerts from official agencies in these regions. Servers outside these areas won't receive automatic warnings.
Investigate Connection Issues
The plugin requires internet access to fetch real-time data from earthquake agencies. If alerts are delayed or missing:
- Verify your server has stable internet connectivity
- Check firewall settings aren't blocking the plugin's connection
- Review server console for connection error messages
Review Configuration
Run /eew reload to refresh settings. Corrupted config files can prevent alerts from displaying even if data arrives successfully.
