Set Up Earthquake Alerts for Your Region

Check Your Supported Region

MCEEW Plugin connects to official earthquake agencies in Japan, China, and Taiwan. Verify your server location falls within one of these regions to receive real-time alerts.

Enable Automatic Notifications

1. Start your server with the plugin installed

2. Alerts will automatically broadcast to all players when earthquakes occur in your region

3. Warnings appear as:

• Chat messages with earthquake details
• Large title text in the center of your screen
• Custom alert sounds

Test Your Setup

Run /eew test in-game to trigger a fake warning. This confirms:

• Chat notifications display correctly
• Title text appears on screen
• Sound alerts play at proper volume
• All players receive the broadcast

If any element doesn't work, check your server console for errors and verify the plugin loaded during startup.

Check Latest Data Anytime

Use /eew info to manually retrieve the most recent earthquake report without waiting for an automatic alert. This is useful for checking if tremors occurred while you were offline.
