How to Craft the Anchor and Encrusted Anchor

Building the Anchor

Start by crafting the Anchor, a heavy melee weapon that trades speed for reach and knockback. Gather iron or a comparable metal tier plus a chain or rope-style binding, then arrange them in a crafting_shaped recipe at a crafting table. The Anchor is your entry point into the heavy weapon line and pairs well with strength-boosting gear.

Upgrading to Encrusted Anchor

Once you have an Anchor, convert it into the Encrusted Anchor using a smithing_transform recipe. Place the Anchor in the smithing table's base slot, add the upgrade material in the addition slot, and pull the result. The Encrusted Anchor keeps the Anchor's slow, wide swings but adds extra damage, making it a strong choice against groups.

Practical Use

Both weapons have a long wind-up. Time your swings so enemies walk into the arc rather than chasing them. Because the Anchor line hits multiple targets in front of you, it works best in corridors and doorways where mobs bunch up. Pair it with armor that reduces knockback so you can hold position while swinging. If you plan to fight ranged mobs, close the gap first — the Anchor's slow recovery leaves you exposed at distance.
