Crafting Bows: Hunting Bow to Elite Power Bow

Entry Bows

The Hunting Bow is your first craft, using a crafting_shaped recipe of sticks and string. It behaves like a standard bow but is the base for many upgrades. Craft the Longbow next if you want more range at the cost of draw speed.

Mid-Tier Bows

From the Hunting Bow you can build the Power Bow, Bonebow, Bubble Bow, Nocturnal Bow, and Phantom Bow. Each uses a crafting_shaped recipe with themed materials — bone for the Bonebow, prismarine-style blocks for the Bubble Bow, and so on. The Nocturnal Bow and Phantom Bow reward night fighting, while the Bubble Bow helps in water.

Endgame Bows

The Elite Power Bow, Master's Bow, Guardian Bow, Haunted Bow, and Bow of Lost Souls sit at the top. They require a mid-tier bow plus rare additions in a crafting_shaped recipe. The Elite Power Bow is the straightforward damage pick; the Bow of Lost Souls and Haunted Bow trade raw power for special effects. Carry two bows — one for range, one for close crowd control — and swap with a hotkey rather than crafting a single all-purpose bow.
