Crafting All Nine Market Crates Efficiently

Plan Around Wood Families

The Market Crates Mod has exactly nine crates: Acacia Crate, Birch Crate, Crimson Crate, Dark Oak Crate, Jungle Crate, Mangrove Crate, Oak Crate, Spruce Crate, and Warped Crate. Each is crafted from planks of its matching wood family using a shaped recipe. To craft all nine efficiently, organize your materials by wood type before you start.

Batch Your Planks

Collect logs for Acacia, Birch, Dark Oak, Jungle, Mangrove, Oak, and Spruce, plus stems for Crimson and Warped. Convert each into planks at a crafting table. Keeping the plank stacks labeled or separated in your inventory prevents mix-ups, since the shaped pattern is identical across crates and only the plank material changes.

Run the Pattern Nine Times

At a crafting table, place the planks for one wood type into the shaped crate pattern and take the finished crate. Repeat for each remaining wood type. Because the recipe is shaped, do not rotate or rearrange the pattern between crates; only swap which planks you use.

Store and Reuse

Once all nine crates are crafted, store them together so you can tell the set apart at a glance. If you need more of a specific crate later, you already know the pattern and the plank type, so you can craft replacements without rechecking the recipe.
