Tools and Weapons

Craft Steel Pickaxe, Steel Axe, Steel Shovel, Steel Hoe and Steel Sword. These follow the standard tool layout, so once you have the pattern memorized you can produce a full set in one sitting. Repair or replace them as needed — Steel Ingot is the material to keep stocked for that.

Armor

Craft Steel Helmet, Steel Chestplate, Steel Leggings and Steel Boots. Wear the full set for the best protection. If you are short on ingots, prioritize the chestplate and leggings first, since they cover the most.

Components You Will Need

Several recipes call for Steel Plate, Steel Rod or Rivet rather than plain ingots. Craft a batch of each before you start on gear so you are not interrupted mid-craft. Steel Nugget is also worth keeping around for smaller recipes.

Once your kit is done, store spare ingots in a Steel Block so your chest space stays manageable.
