Steel Block is the full cube form and the base for the rest of the building set. From Steel Ingot you can craft Steel Block, then break it back down into ingots when you need material for tools. Steel Slab, Steel Stairs, and Steel Wall are the shape variants, all crafted from Steel Block or Steel Ingot depending on the recipe.

Steel Fence and Steel Fence Gate cover barriers and entrances. Steel Button and Steel Pressure Plate handle redstone input. All of these use steel components rather than stone or wood, so plan your ingot budget before committing to a large structure.

Planning a Build

Decide how many Steel Blocks you need for walls and floors, then add slabs and stairs for detailing. Slabs and stairs each consume material per block placed, so a full room of steel detailing adds up quickly. Craft in batches: smelt a large run of Steel Ingot, craft Steel Block, then convert blocks into slabs, stairs, and walls as needed.

Steel Wall is useful for perimeter fencing where a full block would look too heavy. Steel Fence works for lighter barriers, and Steel Fence Gate gives you a controllable opening. Steel Pressure Plate and Steel Button let you trigger doors or pistons from a steel-themed build without mixing in other materials.
