Manaweaving, Runescribing, and the Altar of Arcana

Manaweaving Recipes

Manaweaving (mna:manaweaving-recipe) is the core crafting method. Hold a wand, draw the required pattern, and the recipe completes. Patterns are shown in the Codex Arcana. Common early patterns produce wands, staves, and basic components. Practice the pattern shapes until they become muscle memory; a misdrawn pattern wastes reagents.

Runescribing and Runeforging

Runescribing (mna:runescribing) creates glyphs and spell parts. Runeforging (mna:runeforging) produces enchanted gear and weapons. Both use the Affinity Tinker Table. Bring Blank Glyphs, Arcanist's Ink, and an Animated Quill for runescribing work. Runeforging consumes Chimerite Gems and Arcane Compound.

The Altar of Arcana

The Altar of Arcana handles eldrin-altar recipes (mna:eldrin-altar), the mod's advanced crafting tier. Place the altar and surround it with Arcane Stone or Arcane Sandstone decoration blocks to build a proper ritual space. Recipes consume Animus Dust, Arcane Ash, Arcane Compound, and Chimerite Gems. Higher-tier items like the Arcane Crown and Amulet of the Battlemage require this altar.

The Arcane Furnace

Arcane Furnace recipes (mna:arcane-furnace) smelt special materials that a normal furnace cannot. Build one once you have Chimerite and Arcane Stone. Feed it Animus Dust and raw reagents to produce refined components used in later altar and runeforging recipes.
