How to Craft and Use the Basic Table and Altar of Arcana

Building the Basic Table

Start by placing a Basic Table. This is your entry crafting station for early arcane components. Use it to produce Arcane Compound, Arcane Ash, Chimerite Gem, and Charm Base. These outputs feed every later recipe, so keep a stack of each on hand.

Combine Arcane Ash and Arcane Compound at the Basic Table to progress toward the Altar of Arcana. The Altar is the block you need for higher-tier constructs and staffs. Once placed, the Altar of Arcana accepts Chimerite Gem, Arcane Compound, and Animus Dust as inputs for advanced crafting.

First Tools

With the Altar built, craft a Chimerite Wand or Chimerite Staff. Both serve as your first mana channeling tools. Use the Chimerite Ore you mine underground and smelt it into Chimerite Gem if the recipe calls for the gem rather than the raw ore.

Place a Brazier near your Altar to light the area and support ritual crafting. Store finished wands, staffs, and charms in a Bookshelf-adjacent chest so you can swap tools quickly. From here, branch into Amethyst Wand, Cerublossom Wand, or Aum Wand depending on which materials you have gathered.
